Over the past few months, a number of people have approached me to conduct a Location Sound Recording workshop. Obviously the growing passion for film-makers to improve their screen sound does everything to warm the cockles of my heart, so I am going to make a significant effort to put something together here in Melbourne within the next month or so. I am thinking of a weekend workshop based in Melbourne that will cover a number of topics and will allow a group of people to film, edit and audio-post a scene.

Most workshops I have been to myself have worked best where they are highly practical and very hands-on for the attendees. I intend to make this workshop as practical as possible. We’ll do a bit of theory and will engage with some actors to work through some scenes where the attendees will do the filming and location sound.

If you’re even remotely interested, please complete this (very short) registration form.

I’ll be able to collate the answers and work out which topics are most popular.
